Monument RV Resort

Monument RV Resort offers a variety of accommodations to fit every lifestyle, from 95-foot pull-thrus for your big rig to tent sites and comfortable cabins. We have easy on and off access to I-70, yet we are located far enough away that you won’t hear freeway noise.

Area Activities by Monument RV Park

Some of the exciting things to do within a few miles of Monument RV Resort

Stop by our office for even more ideas of things to do in the area.

The Children's Nature Center in Fruita is now open. Its staff is so happy to share this opportunity to learn and grow, with the valley and visitors to the area.

The collection of creatures is growing with a variety of reptiles already displayed.

A tree of learning funded by Moon Farm attracts many an inquiring eye as kids can actually visualize the life stages of a butterfly, a bee and more.

Colorado National Monument – Famous for its spectacular buttes and spires, Colorado National Monument offers plenty of outdoor activities. Drive or bicycle the 23-mile Rim Rock Drive and take in the views. Enjoy more than a dozen easy-to-challenging hiking trails, world-class mountain biking or rock climbing. Be sure to stop by the Visitor Center to learn all about the park’s interesting geology.

Nestled against the backdrop of the scenic Colorado National Monument, Adobe Creek National Golf Course offers 27 holes on three separate nine hole courses - The Mesa, The Monument, and The Desert. Adobe Creek National welcomes golf outings and tournaments of any size all while letting the public play year round, weather permitting. Just a mile away from us.

James R. Robb State Park – Just across the road from Monument RV Resort, James R. Robb State Park provides stunning views of the Colorado National Monument and foot access to the Colorado River. Bring your swimsuit for the swim beach and your fishing rod as well. The small lake is stocked with trout in the spring and fall.

Dinosaur Journey Museum
North America’s largest dinosaurs once roamed this land, leaving treasures that are still being discovered. At Dinosaur Journey Museum, you’ll see real fossils, cast skeletons and robotic reconstructions of dinosaurs. There’s a sandbox for making your own dinosaur tracks and a “quarry site” where kids can uncover actual Jurassic dinosaur bones. Within walking distance of Monument RV Resort, this is a favorite with many families.

Fruita – Fruita’scharming “hometown” character is sure to captivate you. Walk through the historic downtown or take a self-guided tour of dinosaur excavations at Riggs Hill. Shop at the weekly farmers market and enjoy the produce this area is so famous for, from sweet corn to peaches. Come during one of our many festivals for an especially lively time.

Grand Junction– Although Grand Junction is the regional hub for Western Colorado and Eastern Utah, its small town character has been carefully preserved. Walk through the historic downtown and visit one of the many unique shops and restaurants. Take in a concert or visit one of its museums, including The Museum of Western Colorado. Summer celebrations include the Country Jam USA Music Festival and Dinosaur Days.

Call us today to make a reservation.
We look forward to hearing from you.
